"Just Like You"

This begins with a scene in a shopping mall with 3 girls in wheelchairs.
girl with fcuk top: "Have you seen Eminem's new video?"

girl with bikers black, white and blue leather top (Ni): "Yeah it's heavy and he looks well fit!"

girl with pink top:"Innit!"

scene2 - we are looking at 2 lads and a girl talking in the mall

pink girl: "Hey look over there"

Biker girl (Ni): "Bet they think we're a right bunch of cripples"

fade to scene 3

blonde guy with Fila top lloks over at the girls: "Should they really be on their own?"

Sensitive guy with (immaculate hair) aka Ben :"I've never really spoken to a person in a wheelchair before"

Fila guy (changing tone fairly quickly) "We've never really socialised with disabled people in college"

Girl in Jeans: "Come on you guys, let's go over"

Scene 4 they make their way over...

Ben: "Is my hair alright?"

Jean Girl: "Shut up Ben"

Filo guy: "Oh, I'll go over first"

scene 5, Filo guy is really badly animated and walks/hobbles/slides his way accross the screen - the text at the foot of the page says - "he doesn't usually walk this way"

scene 6 - they are all together now and Ben's hair is spiky and decidedly 1970's Rod stewart style.

Text at bottom "Get rid of the mullet Ben!"

fcuk girl "(whisper) Is my hair alright Ni?"

Fil guy "Alright ladies?"

Ni: "Uh, hi"

Jean girl "So what are you lot up to?"

Girl in pink top: "We're just chatting about Eminems new vid"

Jean girl: "He's well fine"

Ben "Nah - he's rubbish - you wanna listen to club music mate"

Ni: "We link some of that music too..."

scene fades to group shot with text :

The moral of the story is: We're just like you!"

There is a link to see(and hear) the poem (direct link to poem - use back button on browser after hearing). Here are the words:

"Just Like You"

Blinking eye animation

"What do you see when you look at us
what's the big deal what's the big fuss?"

Throbbing brain and graduate in wheelchair

"There's nothing wrong with our brains, they work just fine
sitting in a wheelchair ain't no crime."

A flower withers and dies

"We get so frustrated, we get so stressed
You thinking we're different get's us depressed"

A brick wall gets a hole blown through it.

"But hey it don't bother us that much at all.
We'll break away the barriers and break down the walls."

A pulsing (green???) heart and the return of the strangely walking fila guy (oh no not him again)

"Show some respect 'cos our hearts are true
deep down inside, we're just like YOU!!"

A big thank you to Kev (Fila guy) Ben and Stacy (Jean woman)

Urban Gangsta Crew

We begin at the steps of a disco, three lads with wheelchairs are trying to get in...

bouncer; "Sorry lads, there's no seats"

They pile in - past the bouncer

"It's OK we've got our own!"

Right miserable looking barman

"Hi lads is it 3 cokes?"

Guy with blue top: "No 3 pints and 3 double vodkas"

They are sitting around a table chatting

Blue top: "Did you see the game last night?"

Grey top "...what a great goal" (Muzzy Izzets overhead kick circa November 2002 actually, and that's not in the movie...)

2 girls are standing at the bar and looking over at our 3 heroes

girl 1 : "There's space over there, shall we sit with them?"

girl 2 : "Why not what could happen?"

At this point we see our three guys sitting at the table and two 'choice' buttons have slid into view.
Choose reality and choose bad, you probably will click on "Bad, so we'll look at reality first!!!

Reality choice

The girls have sat down with the lads

Lad with red top (it was grey before...) "Do you come here often?"

girl 1: "we will now"

they all raise their glasses together

guy with white top:" CHEERS!"

both girls: "Thanks lads, we had a great time"

They head out to the exit, the bouncer is waving them out

"See you next week lads"

Or...

The Bad choice...

Stop now if you don't like gore and mess and stuff.

The barman is attacked - SMASH

chairs are thrown - KAPOW

the barman is whacked with a pole and hip eyes pop out - WHACK

wheelchairs are ridden disgracefully with their front wheels in the air - ZOOM

Lager is mixed with peas and carrots and processed... - BARF

The bouncer ejects them all - "Get out and stay out!"

The final movie is:

"Do You Know Who We Are?

The title is written above a plate with a wine glass and a knife and fork all rotating around it.

We then go to a scene inside a restaurant, two groups of people are on different tables

One of the younger members of the further table says : "They are too old to be in a push chair"

His (sister?) says "shut it!"

He replies : "Why, why?"

On of the diners on the near table turns to the other table and says " Excuse me do you want me to tell him why?"

One of the adults replies: "Yes you might explain it better"

The girl explains:" It's a condition, sort of like an illness. I can't use my legs properly, so I use my wheelchair. My wheelchair is like your legs, in my eyes."

The two tables join each other and someone in blue denim joins them (no, I don't know where he came from)

The girl carries on: "It just means I can't do certain stuff, but I'm like you in loads of ways. I go out, listen to music, do loads of girly stuff..."

The movie ends with the moral:

"If you think we are different, then you need to think again"
